....this page is dedicated to the best damn band in *my* world -- queensryche!!!!!

1981 - 1998

In 1981, Geoff Tate, Chris DeGarmo, Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, and Scott Rockenfield formed the band called Queensrche in their hometown of Bellevue (a suburb of Seattle). The band recorded a four song EP in the summer of 1982. Since the release of the EP in 1981 Queensryche have released 6 other albums: The Warning, Rage For Order, Operation:Mindcrime, Empire, Promised Land and Hear in the Now Frontier.

In 1997 & 1998, two major events happened to Queensrche. The first being that their record label, EMI, shut down, forcing many artists looking for a new record label to go to. Talks of Queensrche going to Virgin Records ended up being just rumors. The second major event to happen to the band was announced in January 1998. Chris DeGarmo, one of the major songwriters for the band, left Queensrche. Many fans and many people in the music industry were shocked and saddened by his departure. "Musical differences" was the word put out to as why Chris left the band. Many questions surfaced as what would be the fate of the band.......

....... we have been told that Chris DeGarmo has been replaced by Kelly Gray, a long time friend of Geoff Tate and former bandmember for Tate's previous band. The band is busy in the studio recording their new CD, which sounds like it is gonna be one of the best that Queensrche has put out ever! Fans who have heard some of the new music all agree on one thing...."It rocks!!!"

Latest news on Chris DeGarmo was is that he is working with (ex?) Alice In Chains folx Sean Kinney amd Mike Inez.

A fan club only show was held January 16, 1999 at NAF studios in Seattle, Washington. Word is that the new material has a 'Mindcrime' feel to it and is much heavier than the previous 2 Queensryche albums. Folx who were present at the show tell me that Queensryche were 'beyond amazing' live! ;> Still no word of a record contract, though the band states that it will be on tour in the Summer of 99, sooooooo......

May 1999

The 'working' title was announced as Q2K and the tracklisting is as follows:
  • Falling Down [4:28]
  • One Life [4:28]
  • Sacred Ground [4:12]
  • When the Rain Comes [5:05]
